Wythenshawe Community Housing Group tenant Eva Mullholland has won the 2014 Housing Excellence Awards in the ‘Tenant of the Year’ category.

The national awards, which recognise excellence across the housing sector, took place in Manchester on Wednesday 14th May at the ‘Point’ Lancashire Cricket Ground.

Eva Mulholland is a key member of the strategic involvement vehicles at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group. Eva has worked tirelessly for many years fighting for the rights of tenants across Wythenshawe.
Her selfless approach and passion has won the hearts of the community and she has singled handed help raise money to regenerate the area. Eva’s energy, enthusiasm, as well as her passion to get the job done and help local people, saw her worthy of this award and is a shining example of how change can come about through unity.
Eva Mulholland said: “I just can’t believe it. It was a real shock to win but a nice surprise. I always try to do my best for the people of Wythenshawe and will continue to work closely with the Housing Group to improve standards for our tenants, so it’s really nice to be recognised for this.”
