The Department of Energy and Climate Change has launched the second round of the renewable heat premium payment scheme for social landlords
It is inviting bids for grants of up to £175,000 to subsidise the installation of biomass boilers, solar hot water pumps and various types of heat pump.
The scheme is open for bids from organisations in England, Scotland and Wales, and is mainly intended to benefit homes that are not connected to the gas grid. The closing date for applications is 4 July and work should be completed by 31 March 2013.
