Peaks & Plains is looking to make nearly 10% of its staff redundant as a result of the government’s social rent cut.
The HA employs 250 people, said the proposal in the July Budget to cut social rents by 1% in England would lead to a £9m loss in revenue. The trust has a turnover of £25m.
The Macclesfield-based landlord is launching a consultation with “immediate effect”, which it said could lead to 24 redundancies.
