A Government Committee recommended amendment to the Equality Act enabling transgenders to apply for gender specific roles
The Women & Equalities Select Committee has now published its report following its Transgender Enquiry launched last summer. The report considers various aspects of the law relating to transgender equality, including whether the Equality Act should be amended to allow legally recognised transgenders to apply for gender specific roles, i.e. women only
