On 28th November in York, Scrutiny & Empowerment Partners (SEP) and the Northern Housing Consortium held the first ever Tenant Panel conference, an event we intend to repeat over and over again.

The event was attended by a sell out crowd of over 200 tenants and landlords who listened to government speakers on regulation, scrutiny, the right to manage, complaints and government direction  on scrutiny and then took part in a choice of 12 workshops to update their skills

Graeme Bennett has out together the following observations about the conference:

1st Annual Tenant Panel conference

We would like to thank everyone for contributing their ideas and for their excellent hints and tips for those involved in scrutiny, which will be inserted into the joint report of SEP and the Centre for Public Scrutiny on the success of the co-regulatory champions.
