The government has accepted the need to implement the Hackitt review of fire and building safety by accepting all recommendations.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) recieved an Internal Audit report just a fortnight after the June 2017 blaze which claimed 72 lives, and was published by the Grenfell Tower Inquiry last week.

Carried out by Housing Asset Management Consultancy Ltd (HAMC), the audit report identified “moderate” assurance that Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation’s (KCTMO) fire safety strategy was working properly.
