Together Housing Group has opened the ReUse Together centre for tenants to buy new and pre-owned goods.
The shop will sell electrical goods, furniture, mattresses, beds, carpets, tiles, fabrics and white goods.
The centre will give volunteers and apprentices the opportunity to work with mentors who will teach them new skills.
Glen Finch, head of community regeneration, said: “These are very difficult times, but we are offering a low-cost solution to people wanting to furnish their homes or trying to get rid of unwanted items.
“Lots of people will have unwanted reusable furniture, and we’d love to hear from them.
“We can collect, sell it on at a low price and give someone help in furnishing their new home.
“All the money generated is then put back into running the enterprise and collecting more stock to be sold on.”
