An institutional investor is set to launch a massive £500m push into offsite construction, with plans to build the largest housebuilding factory in Europe.
Inside Housing revealed that Legal and General (L&G) will invest £55m into the construction of a factory near Leeds which will be able to pump out 3,000 houses or 4,500 flats per year. It then plans to invest £500m in building more factories across the UK.
