Hello and welcome to our first blog.
I want to introduce you to Tenant Advisor. It was an idea which came to me when I was looking for a hotel on a similarly named site.
Linda and i think this product is unique in the housing world and indeed, we see that the National Consumer Council are advocating something similar for private sector renting. This is fabulous and if the NCC would like to use our site as a portal then even better!
With the demise of STATUS, it would be great if tenants and landlords made use of the facility on www.tenantadvisor.net to collect opinions. All you have to do is prompt your tenants to answer a few questions they go onto this site and you get your answers, or you can call for free text short opinions.
Tenant Advisor was built by the good people at Brava Design to take advantage of Facebook, Twitter and be accessible to however you view it, be that on a mobile phone, netbook, games console and of course your good old fashioned PC. This helps reach a wider audience of mixed ages and enables you to gain instant feedback.
Tenants can give opinions on their landlord via this site, even if you’re not prompting them. Tenant Scrutiny Panels can ask for opinions on scrutiny subjects and guidance on what they should scrutinise next so why not join up and give it a go?
You can also access lots of useful documents and reviews of scrutiny from other members on the landlord tab, but that’s not all! you get a lot more from tenant advisor, through membership, you get lots of other benefits – click here and download our scrutiny brochure.
Don’t forget to keep up to date on scrutiny, involvement and empowerment and learn about our national conferences, where you can hear from the Department of Communities and Local Government, Housing Ombudsman Service, Tenant Services Authority and scrutiny panels.
