Boost to breathe lifeback into empty homes

Communities Minister Andrew Stunell has announced £50m funding, to be matched by councils, to bring clusters of empty homes in areas with marketable prospects such as close community facilities back into use.

But get your application in quick  – expressions of interest must be submitted to HCA no later than 12 noon on Monday 12 March. These
will then be assessed against the essential criteria, details of which can be found on the HCA website at http://www.homesandcommunities.co.uk/ourwork/clusters-of-empty-homes . If successful at this stage more detailed bids will need to be worked up by the end of April.
