The Communities and Local Government (CLG) select committee launched a fresh inquiry into the ability of house builders to meet demand this week.
Major house builders have warned housebuilding could be stymied if leaving the EU cuts off the flow of labour from Europe.
Between 2007 and 2014, the proportion of EU migrants working in the construction sector in the UK rose from 3.65% to 7.03%.
The inquiry was set to take place regardless of the result of the referendum, and will take a broad look at house builder’s capacity.
