MPs will call for the establishment of a New Homes Ombudsman with the power to order house builders to pay compensation to dissatisfied buyers. The All Party Parliamentary Group for Excellence in the Built Environment will in the next few weeks publish a report into the quality of new build housing.
Inside Housing suggests the report will outline a number of recommendations, including a proposal to create a New Homes Ombudsman to mediate between buyers and builders.
