The National Housing Federation is asking every housing association in the United Kingdom to get in touch with their local MP to promote the sector.

Tenants – have you asked how your HA is involved with local MPs?

According to Inside Housing:

“The trade body, which represents around 1,200 housing association members, wants associations to have ‘1,000 Conversations’ with MPs and councillors by the end of 2015.

The National Housing Federation (NHF) is asking associations to “promote not just your organisation, but the whole sector” and talk about the potential impact in constituencies of recent government housing announcements.

To aid landlords do this, the NHF has produced a tool members can use which allows them to obtain information and data in their local MP’s constituency. It has also produced a guide to engaging with MPs and briefings on latest political developments.”
