NHS to build 22,000 homes on their land

The Department of Health plans to build 22,000 affordable homes for National Health Service (NHS) staff on land owned by the health service.

At a conference hosted by the NHS Confederation, Jim Mackey, chief executive of NHS Improvement, said affordable homes would be offered to NHS staff in areas such as London, where they are being priced out of the market.
