The Communities and Local Government Department have produced a Plain English Guide to the new Localism Act which has received Royal Accent.

It is a short and readable document and covers some of the issues relavant to communities, including the Right to Acquire Community Assets, bin emptying and right to veto the Council Tax, amomgst other important housing issues like the new Housing Ombudsman service and the new national scheme for mobility
