Every year CfPS carries out a scrutiny survey of Local Government – this year rather than produce a long report we have gone for an infographic.
For many the headline results won’t be a surprise – although the 74% of respondents who said party politics affects scrutiny is striking. There are some areas of concern, with confidence in scrutiny’s ability to make an impact down on the 2016 figure.
