Grant Shapps has opened a £1.32m tranche of DCLG funding from the £8m Tenant Empowerment Programme (first announced in February 2011) to charities and benevolent societies to aid the creation of more tenant panels and help individual tenants engage with their landlords on a range of issues and services.
Funding is split, with £700,000 available for tenant panels and £620,000 to help individuals and groups – this includes £120,000 for ‘Community Cashback’ schemes for tenants to take on management of specific services from their landlord.Here is the prospectus for you to appl: prospectus
