Terry Edis, chair of both the Walsall Alliance of Tenant Management Organisations and the National Federation of Tenant Management Organisations, died on 3 November after a period of ill health.
Terry spent many years setting up the Burrowes Street Co-operatives in Walsall and we spend many many evenings working together to agree the Right to Manage agreement. All the TMOs we set up in Walsall joined together to become WATMOS HA and never looked back. They are still a thriving business today and he was still heavily involved in their success. He was rewarded by an OBE in 2008 for his work.
What a character – he will be greatly missed.
