The social housing regulator has published findings from assessments of the operations of 10 housing associations.
The Tenant Services Authority on Friday published its latest batch of regulatory judgements and found no deterioration in the financial viability or governance of the associations.
The TSA upgraded the viability rating of Eden Housing Association, which manages 1,500 homes, to the highest possible following a reduction in the Cumbria-based association’s peak debt. The regulator also upgraded the viability rating of 5,700-home Stafford and Rural Homes, with the regulator saying the organisation’s business plan can cope with detrimental scenarios.
Golden Gates Housing Trust, which took over 8,700 homes from Warrington Council in November 2010, achieved the highest possible viability rating in its first ever judgement.
Bromford Housing Group, which owns 26,854 homes, maintained the highest possible ratings for viability and governance, with the regulator finding its governing body provides effective leadership and control.
Six other landlords, Bromsgrove District Housing Trust, Cornerstone Housing, Isos Housing, Leeds and Yorkshire Housing Association, Regenda and Richmond Housing Partnership all maintained their highest possible viability rating and the second highest rating for governance.
