A housing association has received a governance downgrade from the English social housing regulator for failing to carry out gas safety checks on 160 properties.
The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) said today that 18,000-home Bolton at Home had been downgraded from a ‘G1’ to a ‘G2’ rating.
The grading means that the BoH is compliant with regulatory standards but needs to make improvements.
Landlords are required to carry out annual gas checks.
