Sadiq Khan is preparing to publish a “best practice guide” to outline basic standards for estate regeneration in the capital, his deputy has revealed.
James Murray, deputy mayor for housing, told delegates at the labour Party conference in Liverpool that the document would be published this autumn.
It will contain advice to developers on issues including the appropriate level of social housing and reasonable offers to leaseholders. It will include guidance on levels of social housing, rehousing, what is a fair deal to leaseholders and good practice in consultation.
