Two Berkshire housing associations have announced plans to join forces to form a 14,600-home landlord in the county.

Bracknell Forest Homes, which owns and manages more than 7,000 properties, has announced talks with Maidenhead association Housing Solutions, which owns 7,500 homes, over a possible merger deal.

Discussions are ongoing, as the landlords finalise proposals and launch consultations with tenants and stakeholders.

Indications show a combined strength could deliver one-and-a-half times more homes compared to what we could both do on our own.”
