CCH are ask you to assist in asking local authorities you have connections with to consider responding the CCIN Housing Commission’s call for evidence from local authorities about their views on developing co-operative and community-led housing.  Led by Croydon Council, the Commission is particularly seeking to get views from as many local authorities as possible – whether they are currently supporting community-led housing now or whether they might just be interested in it.

The call for evidence is available at http://www.ccinhousing.co.uk/get-involved/

The closing date for the call for evidence is the end of March.

We know that there are many local authorities having discussions about community-led housing – and it would be really good if as many as possible might be able to engage with the commission – even if its just to say that they are interested!

Yours

Nic Bliss – Confederation of Co-operative Housing

I imagine I have probably already told you about our recently launched guide on co-operative and community-led housing but just in case I haven’t and you want some general information – it’s at www.cch.coop/newcoophomes
