City Hall has announced a partnership with giant London housing association L&Q which will see 20,000 homes built in the capital.
£8bn will be invested in housing development – 12,000 of the 20,000 homes will be “genuinely affordable”.
The Greater London Authority (GLA) committed to invest £400m of its £3.15bn Affordable Homes Programme into the partnership. The programme, announced in November, aims to deliver 90,000 homes by 2021.
