Clive Betts has suggested he will undertake a review of building and fire safety regulations, after retaining his position as chair of the Communities and Local Government Committee.

He said the Grenfell Tower disaster “raises issues for potential review” but the committee would not “seek to duplicate matters being looked at by the public inquiry”.
