Places for PeopleHousing Assoiciation (national with over 60,000 homes) is setting up a subsidiary company called the Green Services Hub, which will offer services to other landlords ranging from advice to installation of measures to cut carbon emissions, reduce bills and warm homes.
The 61,000-home landlord this week published a contract notice ahead of beginning a tender process to pick contractors, law firms and suppliers which launches next month. It has split the framework into five categories – consultancy, financial, legal, equipment and installers, which it hopes to have procured by January. The landlord intends that the company will be up and running by 1 April.
The hub will operate across the UK and the plan is for it to win contracts worth up to £700 million. It is thought to be the largest framework of its kind
