Communities could be given hundreds of thousands of pounds if they allow new homes to be built, the planning minister said in a speech on 10th January 2013.
Nick Boles revealed on BBC Newsnight last night he wants the cash to come from the infrastructure levy paid by developers when they get planning permission.
He announced the plan in a speech to the right-leaning think tank Policy Exchange today where he also stressed the importance off effective use of land, including land that is not of high environmental value.
