Councils have been given a share of £9.5m to crack down on social housing fraud.
Housing minister, Mark Prisk, has announced the funding for 62 councils to implement measures such as specialist investigation teams and adavnced data-matching. Social housing fraud costs the taxpayer up to £900m a year
