Funding to tackle ‘beds in sheds’ Housing Minister Mark Prisk has announced a further £800,000 funding to allow the four London boroughs with the biggest problems in this area to continue their work for another year.
£180million Disabled Facilities Grant confirmed Housing Minister Mark Prisk has confirmed the distribution of £180million funding between councils in England to provide financial help for adaptations to allow people with disabilities to remain in their own homes. A further £185million is expected in next year’s funding.
Funding boost for aspiring self-builders Rules for support funding under the Community Right to Build will be relaxed to enable more community groups and self-builders to develop their projects, Housing Minister Mark Prisk has announced. The scheme will offer a total of £14million funding over the next two years.
