One Vision Housing tops employers with between 50 and 499 staff members in a list of the UK’s 100 best workplaces complied by Great Place to Work, a research, consulting and training firm.
The rankings are based on the results of employee surveys and audits of participating organisations’ people practices.
Great Place to Work also recognised the 11,000-home social landlord, which has 255 members of staff, as delivering excellence in well-being and ‘employee voice’.
Roy Williams, chief executive of One Vision Housing, said: ‘We were competing against a number of well-known commercial brands in the Great Workplaces UK final, so it’s certainly flattering to be singled out as the leading employer.
‘It was also pleasing to see so many social landlords shortlisted, showing that we’re continuing to achieve great things, notwithstanding the current political and economic pressures.’
He added that the association’s senior team recognised the organisation only achieved what it did through the ‘dedication and support’ of its staff.
The 1,200-home Taff Housing Association is the 20th best medium-sized workplace, according to Great Place to Work.
The report ranks 17,000-home Great Places Housing Group as the UK’s 12th best large workplace, with 70,000-home L&Q 26th and 21,000-home Catalyst Housing 30th.
