The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has appointed two new members to its regulation committee.

According to Inside housing:

Ceri Richards and Sarah Wall will join the committee, which oversees the regulation social housing providers in England, from Friday.

Ms Richards is the chief investment officer at construction company Laing O’Rourke and has had a 20-year career in banking.

Ms Wall is head of asset/liability risk at insurance company the Pension Insurance Corporation.

The pair have been appointed for three years and will be paid £11,000 a year for two days a month.

The appointments bring the number of committee members to seven. They join Julian Ashby (chair), Jonathan Adlington, Inge Kettner, Richard Moriarty and Piers Williamson.

Brandon Lewis, housing minister, said: ‘Ms Wall and Ms Richards will bring extensive commercial and finance experience to the role.

‘Their skills and knowledge will prove highly valuable to the HCA in its work to create and maintain the right conditions for new housing supply.’
